Like the “cliché” saying goes but hold true, when God is all we have then He is all we need to get by. Get by and over the challenging times in our life. The opportunity of us coming out of our circumstances will be realized by us going through our circumstances as we allow God to direct us to where He desires to lead us. God will always lead us to bring us out into a better and abundant life. What the enemy uses to destroy us, when we call out to God, He will use the same situation to bless and restore us. Bless us with the truth of how mighty and above His name is in every situation. Bless us with the truth that wherever we were experiencing a void in our life that we were trying to fill with people and things, that void was allowed so we could be filled with the love and presence of His Holy Spirit.
God tells us in Zechariah 4:6 that it will not be by might or power but by His Spirit. What is your it? Is your “it” a relationship that came to an unexpectant end? Is your “it” an unknown health concern that could have been prevented? Is your “it” a job loss living you with financial concerns? Is your “it” losing your home and you have nowhere to go? Is your “it” losing who you believed you were including everything you believed to be true in your life?
Sometimes God will allow seasons of uncertainty and unwanted change to transform us in who He says we are, not what our experiences have tried to conform us to being. Very often the life challenges and problems we encounter were hell sent but heavenly orchestrated to be used to help us become aware of God’s everlasting love and presence in our life. During these times we come to better understand the sovereignty of God’s love towards us as well as His presence when it seems like people have abandoned us. Our old life that is a reflection of our old self can not go where our new life, that will reveal our restored self is destined to carry us.
The word of God tells us in Hebrews 12:5 “My sons do not despise the chastening of the Lord, nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him: For whom the Lord loves He chastens, and scourges every son whom He receives.
God will use seasons of discouragement sent by the deceitfulness of the enemy to reveal His truth and will for our lives. John 8:32 tells us we shall know the truth and the truth shall make us free. The truth is able to make us free when we come to the end of believing a lie. More specifically, what you are going through may be hell on earth but God has the power to reveal heaven on earth as He leads you out to overcome and conquer everything the enemy stole from you. This is one of the reasons the word of God tells us in Romans 8:28,” And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” The root of God’s purpose is to love you by revealing what His thoughts are towards you. Jeremiah 29:11 tells us “For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” The past that was stolen from you God will intervene and restore a favorable future that will give you back your power, love and soundness of mind revealing the winner in you.
