When we pray and petition God for our requests, He starts doing a work in us to prepare us for what we desire. Often times we may wonder what He is doing and when He will answer our prayer. Do not grow weary because every prayer has an appointed time when it will be fully answered. Until then we must move forward in faith, understanding that God is directing our way in the blessing. Every prayer of petition requires preparation so when God fulfills our prayer request, we have been properly prepared to enjoy what we have requested of Him.
Prayers of petition are prayers that ask God to grant us what we desire. A petition prayer is a request that reveals we have a problem that needs to be solved. Well as we all know, God is not a genie in a bottle, where He grants our every wish, desire or prayer. He is a Holy and just God who loves to protect His children so He can blessed His children.
When God created male and female the first thing He did was blessed them. Once He blessed them, He told them to be fruitful and multiply and have dominion. Often times people look for the blessing outside, but God hides the blessing inside of us. The blessing of us being created in the image and likeness of His glory that is full of grace and truth.
The blessing is being in the image and likeness of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit that prepares us to fruitfully multiply His presence in the problem we desire Him to fix in our life. God does not grant a petition prayer until He blesses us to be able to enjoy what we prayed for. We have to be properly prepared to know how to care for the manifested blessing we prayed for. God blesses us by preparing us in the image and likeness of His love so we are prepared to love all His creation. He desires that His love be fruitfully multiplied as His love has dominion in the earth.
Before His love can have dominion in the earth, His love must first have dominion in us. We are the blessed seed of a blessed earth because of How God creates our mind, spirit, soul and body in the image and likeness of who He is, so we will enjoy and care for all His creation.
Whatever we have prayed for God will prepare us for. He has to remove every thing of our own understanding so only what is of His Spirit will remain in the area of our life where we desire to be blessed. John 4:24 says God is Spirit and those who worship Him, must worship Him in Spirit and in truth. The presence of His Holy Spirit, resting in what we desire to enjoy is our blessing. He has to bless us in the image and likeness of who He is.
The blessing is the sanctification process, also known as the transformation process also known as the whole person development process. God has to bless our mind, spirit soul and body in His image and likeness so we may care for what we have prayed for. So whatever we pray for, get ready for Him to bless us by sanctifying us to receive it without regret. For God to bless us, He has to sanctify us, transform us to properly care and enjoy the desires of our heart. There is no life or blessing in what we desire to receive outside of His thoughts and ways of obtaining it. Isaiah 55:8-9 tells us God does not think like us or go about doing things like us. This includes the process of Him answering our prayers. Answered prayer is rooted in us receiving the mind of Christ so that we can love what we prayed for in a Christ-like manner. God has to remove our selfishness so we will not destroy the selfless gift of answered prayer. He doesn’t only want to answer our prayer, He wants to make sure we are able to maintain and keep the manifested blessing we requested in prayer.
