Trust is unwavering faith in God’s will and direction for our life. God desires to cultivate a heart in us of trusting in Him. The more we learn to trust God, the more our soul will reflect the image and likeness of God’s desires, will and emotions that result in manifested blessings. Trust renews the Spirit of the mind. Ephesians 4:23 tells us to be renewed in the Spirit of our mind. This is important because we are a Spirit being who possesses a soul and live in a body. Trusting God transforms our soul to be one with the image and likeness of God’s Holy Spirit that makes us the body of Christ. The Spiritual warfare revealed in 2 Corinthians 10:1-6 talks about how when our obedience is fulfilled, God will punish all disobedience. Disobedience is punished through us obeying God because we will no longer have a war in our soul which is the battlefield for our mind. Hebrews 4 talks about laboring to rest and how some people did not enter the presence of God because of disobedience. Our disobedience keeps us from having the peace which is God’s rest from every thing that does not line up with His image and likeness. We labor to obey God so we can eventually rest in the Spirit of our mind where habits and behaviors are formed that results in the decisions we make that shapes a lifestyle of blessings or a lifestyle of curses.
When we protect the gates to our heart which are our eyes, mouth (that includes our tongue) and ears, we are protected from issues arising in our life because it is springing forth from our heart. These issues are the consequences of having a lack of understanding of God’s will for our lives. God has given us His living and powerful word to protect our mind, spirit, soul and body with the living word of God. The thoughts of God brings healing to our mind, spirit, soul and body making us whole in Christ and effective in this world.
God’s Holy Spirit was always meant to lead our soul so His will could be manifested in our life. God’s will is always to bless us with a life full of peace and hope. Our promise land is rooted in us being spiritually whole, possessing our soul where our desires, will and emotions are one with God’s will. When we have peace in our soul, it will be reflected in our whole person, relationships, and wealth. When we meditate on God’s word, we will be a tree planted by the rivers of water, which is the Holy Spirit and whatever we do will prosper because of Christ being released to do the work of obedience through us.
