God’s Amazing Grace is the presence of His eternal love, who is God’s Holy Spirit of Truth. When we understand God’s Amazing Grace, we are set free from issues that spring forth from a desperately wicked and deceitful heart (Jeremiah 17:9). Every issue in life is an issue of a desperately wicked and deceitful heart that needs to be set free by God’s Holy Spirit of Truth. John 3:16 tells us, For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 1:14 tells us, And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only-begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. God’s solution to the perishing world was and still is His living and powerful word that is full of grace and truth. God’s living and powerful word lives in His anointed Son, Jesus Christ, who reveals good news to the poor in spirit, heals the broken hearted and sets people free who have been held captive to a desperately deceitful and wicked heart (Isaiah 61:1).
When our desperately wicked and deceitful hearts become renewed with the living and powerful word of God, we encounter the truth that sets us free from the issues that spring forth from a desperately wicked and deceitful heart (Proverbs 4:23). Some people want to try to make us choose between grace and truth like we can only have one at a time. However, when God sent His Son, He sent the fullness of His grace and truth at the same time (John 1:14). The glory of God is what makes God Holy because it is who He is. Inside of God’s glory lives the fullness of God’s grace and truth that He sent to save a perishing world through His only begotten Son. Jesus life’s work was about dying and resurrecting from the cross returning the full presence of God’s Amazing Grace to the body. He desired to give the gift of the fullness of the same glory that was given to Him to all people who would believe (Romans 6:23).
Jesus life’s work was about dying on the cross with the intention of giving the fullness of the same glory that was given to Him, to all people who would believe in Him. Therefore, at the day of Pentecost, He released His Amazing Grace when He released His Holy Spirit who is the glory of God’s presence full of grace and truth (Acts 2). This glory now resides in the mind of Christ and when we allow the mind of Christ to be in us, we come to know God’s Amazing Grace, who is the Spirit Of Truth that sets us free.
Jesus defeated sin on the cross, therefore we no longer have to be captive to sin when we allow ourselves to seek and behold God’s Amazing Grace. The more we spend time in the presence of God’s living and powerful word, we are diligently protecting our heart with faith. The more our hearts and minds hear faith, the more our hearts and minds will encounter and be transformed into the image and likeness of God’s Amazing Grace (Genesis 1:26-28). Our hearts and minds need the word of God to remove the issues of a desperately wicked and deceitful heart, so that the glory of His grace and truth can make our heart His home (John 14:23-24). When we are set free by the truth, we understand God’s Amazing Grace as we encounter God’s eternal love.
What does this mean for you and I? Well, we no longer have to be a slave to the issues of our heart that desire to separate us from the love of God as it makes us a slave to fear. It means that when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we allow Him to be Lord over our mind, spirit, soul and body. It means that we allow ourselves to understand His Amazing Grace through being in relationship and fellowship with His Holy Spirit. It means that whatever we are experiencing in life, God sent His Amazing Grace so that we could be set free from the issues of life.
All we have to do is accept His Amazing Grace by spending time in the presence of His living and powerful word. When our dull understanding is awakened to the presence of His Holy Spirit, a once chaotic life that was rooted in a once chaotic heart, will awaken in the full power, love and sound mind of God’s Amazing Grace (2 Timothy 1:7). It means that because we are in relationship and fellowship with His Amazing Grace, He will cause us to live a blessed life. We will be empowered to overcome any life challenge to include, job challenge, relationship challenge, health challenge, financial challenge, mental challenge, emotional challenge and spiritual challenge that comes to kill, steal and destroy our relationship and fellowship with His Amazing Grace.
Phil Wickham version of, “This Is Amazing Grace” reminds us of all that Jesus has finished and overcome on the cross. His Amazing Grace allows us to be set free to live in relationship and fellowship with His Holy Spirit.
